My First Fantasy Book Magic Arrives – The Snowflake Method
I rediscovered the Book Progress app in Word Press and I decided to use it to report on the progress of my first fantasy book, with the working title, Magic Arrives. The app asked me about my writing method and I decided the Snowflake method is the closest to my process. I work on multiple parts at a time. Here’s the overall structure:
Story Structure – Done!
Characters – Done!
Scene List – Done!
First Draft – Done!
Editing – In progress
Proofing – To do
My First Fantasy Book Magic Arrives – Story Structure
So far I’m 100% complete on the Story Structure phase. I’ve captured my plot for this book, and the next two books in the triology.
Have a preview of the spines of the trilogy here.
My First Fantasy Book Magic Arrives – Characters
I just made progress on Magic Arrives! So far I’m 100% complete on the Characters phase. I’ve got about 71 characters so far, including magical dragons, talking dogs, gorillas, and intelligent dolls.
Magic Arrives Progress – Scene List
I just made progress on Magic Arrives! So far I’m 6% complete on the Scene List phase. That’s 6 out of 100 scenes.
Progress – First Draft Words
I’m done with the first draft of Magic Arrives! I’m 100% complete. That’s roughly 112,00 words out of my goal of 100,000. Oops. Overshot.
What remains to be done
I’m done with the self-edit. I sent it to my editor, Dori Harrell. She did the line editing. I’m going through that NOW. Then Dori will do the final proofing.
I’ll created the front cover, back cover and spine with my illustrator, Sean “Fuzzy” Flanagan.
Here are the covers:

Then there’s the small matter of uploading it to Amazon and publishing it there. Finally, I order paperback copies so you can get your copy here, directly from me, as less than Amazon.
Jesus Is Born – Advent 24 and 25 What Gift is Better? This is not something I’m giving you, but a gift I’m telling you about, straight from God Himself. Jesus divested Himself of divinity and came into Mary’s womb as a tiny baby. How much humbler can you get?
Jesus Is Born – What Happened Leading up to Jesus Birth?
This excerpt from the Bible. I combined the four gospels into The Gospel Medley. What does it say happened the day Jesus was born?
The Birth of Jesus – Several Weeks Before
Luke 2:1–39; Matthew 1:25 1 Now in those days, a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled. 2 This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 All went to enroll themselves, everyone to his own city. 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to David’s city, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David; 5 to enroll himself with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him as wife, being pregnant.

6 While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth. 7 She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them inthe guest room.9 25 He [Joseph] named him Jesus.
Jesus Is Born – What Happened? Part 2
8 There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock. 9 Behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
10 The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people. 11 For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”
13 Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God, and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, among men of good will.”
On The First Day of Christmas – What Happened? Part 3
15 When the angels went away from them into the sky, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
16 They came with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby was lying in the feeding trough.
9 The word used for “inn” in the Authorized Version is kataluma in Greek. It appears in Luke 22:11 and Mark 14:14 as well as here in Luke 2:7. In the other two passages, the Authorized Version renders it as “guest room.” Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, with Hebrew, Chaldee and Greek Dictionaries gives the definition as “lodging place, guest chamber, inn.” Since Joseph had relatives in Bethlehem, he and Mary likely stayed with them instead of in a rented room. For a rented room in an inn, Luke used the Greek word pandocheion in Luke 10:34. For these reasons, the phrase “guest room” is used (https://www.amazon.com/StrongsExhaustive-Concordance-Chaldee-Dictionaries/dp/B000AMQT0S/).
17 When they saw it, they publicized widely the saying which was spoken to them about this child. 18 All who heard it wondered at the things which were spoken to them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, just as it was told them.

What is the origin of the book of Revelation?

Who is the intended audience of Revelation?
What is in the Book of Revelation?
Prayer: Thank You, Almighty God, for giving us the book of Revelation, directly from You through Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank You for using Your created angels and sons of men to spread Your truth through all the world. Amen.
God gives us the name of the book: the Revelation of Jesus Christ. He gives us the topic, things which must happen soon, and shows the provenance of the book as the knowledge flows from His throne through Jesus, to His angel, to John, and then to the whole church.

Grace to you and peace from God. Grace, charis in Greek, means unmerited love. These are gifts to us from the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, along with peace from the eternal God, Who has always existed and is outside of time. Jesus is the faithful witness of these things and the firstborn of the dead. Jesus died in our place, so that we may be forgiven and live forever. He was the ruler of the Earth. He still is and will be forever.

Are you curious about Jesus Christ? Do you struggle to understand the Bible? The Gospel Medley includes the four Gospels in a single narrative, faithfully pulling the text from the World English Bible. You are now able to read all the gospel as a single, easy-to-read story.
Each Gospel describes Jesus’s life from a different point of view with different details and insights. The Gospel Medley combines every word into a single perspective with all details and events arranged chronologically.
Unlike other harmonies, The Gospel Medley doesn’t put the four gospels in columns or rows. Instead, the text is integrated word by word into a smoothly flowing narrative. Further, each paragraph references the four gospels so you can read the original citations. You also get footnotes of all the quotes from the Old Testament, giving you the context of Jesus’s words.
